Supply chain consulting for food, ag & consumer brands

Senior supply chain leadership, without the full-time hire.

Certified Supply Chain Management helps growing food, agriculture, and consumer-products companies buy better, ship smarter, carry the right inventory, and get ready for California’s new packaging laws. You work directly with a CPSM-certified supply chain director who runs these operations every day.

No sales pitch. A practical conversation about your suppliers, freight, inventory, or packaging.

  • CPSM — Certified Professional in Supply Management (ISM)
  • Currently leads supply chain for a California fresh-produce grower-shipper
  • Former demand planning & logistics leader at Halliburton
  • Based in Bakersfield, CA. Working with clients remotely and on-site
Sound familiar?

Your business has outgrown “we’ll figure out purchasing later.”

Most growing brands reach a point where supply chain decisions are too important to run on spreadsheets and spare time, but a full-time VP of Supply Chain isn’t in the budget yet. That’s the gap we fill.

  • Purchasing is reactive: rush orders, stockouts, or too much cash sitting in inventory.
  • Freight and packaging costs keep climbing and nobody has time to re-bid them.
  • One or two suppliers could shut you down if something goes wrong.
  • Supplier contracts were signed years ago and never revisited.
  • Forecasts are a guess, and nobody owns the monthly plan that ties sales, purchasing, and operations together.
  • You’re not sure whether California’s new packaging laws (SB 54 and SB 343) apply to you, or what to report.
  • The founder or ops lead is still doing procurement at night.

Your consultant

Isaiah Stine-Ancheta, CPSM

Isaiah has spent more than 15 years in supply chain, logistics, and procurement. Today he serves as Director of Supply Chain for a California fresh-produce grower-shipper, where he manages vendor relationships and supply planning for growth. Before that, he spent five years at Halliburton in demand planning and logistics, where he led a logistics team, negotiated logistics provider contracts, and managed forecasting and international customs and trade.

He founded Certified Supply Chain Management to give smaller food, ag, and consumer brands access to the same caliber of supply chain leadership that large companies take for granted.

Core supply chain management

The fundamentals that drive cash, service, and margin.

Most supply chain problems in growing companies trace back to a handful of basics. These are the disciplines behind the CPSM credential, applied at a scale that fits a small or mid-size business.

California SB 54 targets (statewide, by 2032)
2032
  • 100% of covered packaging recyclable or compostable
  • 25% less single-use plastic packaging and food service ware
  • 65% of plastic covered material recycled

Sustainability & packaging

Packaging is now a compliance issue, not just a cost line.

California’s SB 54 makes brand owners, and in some cases importers and distributors, responsible for the packaging they put into the state: register, report packaging data, pay fees, and help hit plastic-reduction and recyclability targets. SB 343 restricts recyclability claims on labels. A Packaging Compliance Readiness engagement gives you a clean packaging inventory, a clear answer on what applies, and a practical plan to reduce cost and risk.
